This is a list of gameplay mods for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind that have been tested with OpenMW.

For instructions on how to install mods, see mod installation. For more information about mods, see mod status.

Status indicators
Works fine.The mod works as in vanilla Morrowind; there may be a couple of warning messages written to the error log but nothing that affects the mod's functionality.
Partially working, has non-trivial issues.Most parts of the mod work as expected. There are (minor) issues though, but nothing with serious impact on gameplay. See the description text for bug references or workarounds.
Currently broken.There are major problems with this mod which have a noticeable impact on gameplay. These issues should get fixed in the future -- see the description text for bug references or workarounds.
Needs re-testing.There have been problems with this mod. Certain bug-fixes or version releases may have fixed some/all issues, but nobody has re-tested the mod yet.
Currently being tested.(Mainly for large mods.) The mod is in active testing. It may take the tester(s) a while to complete their task.
Will never work with OpenMW.Due to relying on third-party software, like MWSE or MGE, or because of severe scripting errors the mod isn't compatible with OpenMW. To make it compatible, the mod authors need to fix their mod or clear third-party dependencies. Moreover, some third-party features may have already been implemented in OpenMW -- but don't hope for that!
Not tested yet.The mod hasn't been tested yet; maybe someone plans to do so later.

Needs re-testing. OpenMW 0.34.0 n.a. Tinker This mod could never have worked properly in vanilla due to script errors. There is an updated version where the scripts work but there is still a problem that trainers do not always appear.
AltStart N 3.0 iamnone Currently broken. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel It's on the PC Gamer best Morrowind Mods list. Broken script altstartscript - misnamed npc at line 64 - "Chargen Dock Guard" should be "Chargen Door Guard". Presumably vanilla Morrowind ignores the error.Appears OK after fixing that.
Andromeda's Fast Travel N 0.02 SGMonkey Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel No apparent problems.
Animal Realism N 1.0 <unknown> Works fine. OpenMW 0.35.1 n.a. Cramal No problems, works as in vanilla Morrowind.
Antares Big Mod M 5.7 Arcimaestro Antares Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.42 August 2017 Loriel On Morrowind Modding Guide stickied on Reddit's /r/Morrowind. Numerous warnings, errors in CS verification, most of which will probably have no effect. Main issue appears to be a typo on line 44 of script ABM_GuardTelvanniScript which will cause it to error in game.
Arrow De-nocker M 1.0 Fliggerty Will never work with OpenMW. Incompatible because it requires MWSE, but it's unnecessary because OpenMW already includes this feature — press the Ready Weapon key.
Assassin Ambush N 2.5 hollaajith Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.35.1 n.a. <unknown> Assassins are occasionally stuck within walls or doors. Sometimes rogues do not initiate combat. Otherwise the mod appears to work as intended.
Better Balanced Boots of Blinding Speed N 1.0 Pherim Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On Tomorrowind 2016. Appears to work as intended, despite syntax warnings.

BTB's Game Improvements M 14.1 BTB Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On Tomorrowind 2016. No obvious errors, and appears to work as intended. But it's a massive rebalance, so it's quite possible I've overlooked something.
CharGen Revamped N 2.3.2 Mitokandria Works fine. OpenMW 0.38.0 n.a. Natalie Works perfectly.
Clear Your Name N 1.0 Lucevar Currently broken. OpenMW 0.36.1 n.a. Slissith Although the mod appears to work as intended at first, saving after the bounty is set to zero by Nolus Atrius creates a save file that fails to load due to a compile error.
Complete Morrowind M Full Final Max aka NOBODY Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.42.0 Aug 2017 Loriel Two script errors, both apparently faulty code in the mod, so it probably never worked as intended in Vanilla - concerning sewing and smithing.
Complete Morrowind Improved M 1.0 MauveCloud Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.42.0 Aug 2017 Loriel Based on Complete Morrowind, it unfortunately adds more script errors, in poisons.
Faster M 1.0 Aragon Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On Tomorrowind 2016. Appears to work as intended.
Faster Skill Increases N 1.0 me Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On the PC Gamer best Morrowind Mods list. Appears to work as intended.
Enhanced Economics N 2.1 Crankgorilla Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.35.0 n.a. <unknown> Some weapons appear textureless, works fine otherwise.
Fair Magicka Regen M 2.0b Smoke Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.37.0 n.a. Tinker A typo stops mana regeneration script compiling. Workaround: edit the script in OpenMW-CS so the mana_regen script's float PcMagicka is followed by a semicolon instead of colon (should be in line 26 or 27). Then the mod works as intended.
Galsiah's Character Development 1.07c Galsiah Needs re-testing. OpenMW 0.39.0 n.a. Hallfaer Galsiah's method for getting attributes and skills over 100 by limiting them to 95 and applying a scripted fortification doesn't work. They are capped at 95, though GCD itself correctly keeps track of the actual value it should be. In 0.39, saving/reloading and changing Intelligence reduced your current Magicka proportional to how far below max it was. (Still in 0.40) Drain Magicka multiplies current and max Magicka instead, until the next recalculation (save & load, rest, INT-change). This effect is cumulative, so eating a handful of Rat Meats puts your Magicka in the ten thousands. Check Bug 2036 and Bug 2471 pages for more information.

Gold Weight M 1.01 Tejón Works fine. OpenMW 0.35.1 n.a. <unknown> Works as intended. Do not try to edit the plugin with OpenMW-CS and use an addon format, it doesn't save correctly.
Graphic Herbalism N 1.3a ManaUser Works fine. OpenMW 0.40.0 2016/10/20 Atahualpa Works as intended; no console outputs.
First successful test with OpenMW 0.37.0 by Tinker.
Graphic Herbalism - Expanded Sounds Compatibility Patch N 1.0 Skrawafunda Works fine. OpenMW 0.40.0 2016/10/29 Atahualpa Works as intended; no console outputs. You have to modify your openmw.cfg in order to make full use of this mod. Look here for more information.
Graphic Herbalism - Mining N 1.3a ManaUser Works fine. OpenMW 0.40.0 2016/10/20 Atahualpa Works as intended; no console outputs.
Hircine's Ring M 1.0 Andres2310 Works fine. OpenMW 0.41.0 2017/01/18. Durisat Works as intended.
Imperial Airship M 2.1 Xan Works fine. OpenMW 0.41.0 2017/02/20 Elderking1986 Works fine. No issues.
IndyBank N 2.4 Indestructible, Kir & Havokk Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.42.0 Sep 2017 Loriel No problems when verifying in CS, but script text fails to compile for the topic "account status" (due to lack of support for multi-line message box). See bug #4102. Workaround - reverse the commenting out of that script text.

Madd Leveler 1.0 Madd Mugsy Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On the PC Gamer best Morrowind Mods list and Tomorrowind 2016 Appears to work without problems - but see ncgd by Greywander at https://forum.openmw.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=4339 for an alternative.

Morrowind Advanced N 1.82 Stromgarde Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Loriel Aug 2017 No obvious problems.
Natural Healing M 1.0 Smoke Currently broken. OpenMW 0.41.0 2017/03/04 Jirka642 Syntax error in _bsp_hregen script stops it from compiling. See suggested fix by zelo86 at https://forum.openmw.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4575&p=49218#p49219
Necessities of Morrowind M 3.03a Taddeus Works fine. OpenMW 0.35.0 n.a. Tinker Seems to work as intended. There are a few script warning in the error logs but the mod author is fixing that for an updated version. OpenMW does not need the water level fix mentioned in the readme.
Oblivion Style Vampires N 1.2 DoctorEss Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Sep 2017 Loriel CS verification reveals no errors or warnings.
Oblivionized Magicka Regeneration N 1.22 Andylam222 Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On the PC Gamer best Morrowind Mods list. Unfortunately no documentation on what the mod is supposed to achieve - it regenerates Magicka (rather quickly) at all times, rather than just while resting. No apparent problems.
Pegas Horse Ranch M 3.1 MadMax Partially working, has non-trivial issues. OpenMW 0.41.0 2017/02/21 Elderking1986 Works mostly as intended; does show a few errors in openmw.log but it seems to work as it did in vanilla Morrowind except for one thing. While you are riding your horse, the horse has a collision detection problem, causing it to fall through terrain and travel on the water level.
Projectile Overhaul N 1.11 Uploader Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On the PC Gamer best Morrowind Mods list and Tomorrowind 2016. Appears to work as intended. Just changes a few global variables, as far as I can tell, so there shouldn't be anything to go wrong.
Propylon Index Chest M 1.2 Jon Davison Works fine. OpenMW 0.41.0 2017/01/18. Durisat Works as intended.
Protective Guards M 1.3 Fliggerty Will never work with OpenMW. Requires MWSE, which is incompatible with OpenMW.

Please note that this does not fix anything regarding the Redoran Stronghold but rather changes the doors of the Redoran Council Hall in Under-Skar, Ald'ruhn.

Various errors and warnings from verification in the CS which should have no impact on gameplay. However, script vmet_wallarea_fire (line 57) has an error which will probably prevent it running. Commenting out the line, or fixing the variable names, should solve the problem.
However see other problems reported at https://forum.openmw.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4191.

Shut Up! M N/A Adul aka Adam Zsoldos Will never work with OpenMW. Requires MWSE, which is incompatible with OpenMW.
Silt Striders N 1.16 abot Needs re-testing. OpenMW 0.41.0 2016/12/26 Amenophis Mostly works. Has problems with animations (Striders legs don't move while travelling) and collision detection (Striders fall through terrain and travel on the water level).
Skyrim crafting for Morrowind N 0.3 Mike Currently broken. OpenMW 0.35.1 n.a. Tinker Bug #2185 is partially fixed in 0.35.0 version, but a space between operators is still reported as an error. Other two script issues need to be fixed by mod author who has restarted work on the mod and is aware of problems.
Sneaking Realism M 3.0 TJ Works fine. OpenMW 0.42 Aug 2017 Loriel On Tomorrowind 2016. Appears identical to TES III Sneaking Realism below. Warnings from spurious "Player->" ahead of playsound in scripts, which seem to be ignored. Appears to function as intended.
Speechcraft Rebalance N 1.0 Androl Works fine. OpenMW 0.40.0 2016/11/21 Steve Odom Works as intended; no console outputs.
